ReMark Habits
Can a habit tracker help me remember my days without turning consistency into a score?
A calm, local-first habit record for noticing what I maintained and what mattered without turning consistency into a score.

The problem
Many habit trackers make streaks, perfect consistency, and missed days the center of the experience. I wanted a quieter way to see what I maintained while also recording one thing that made the day meaningful.
The approach
I built ReMark Habits as an installable, phone-first app with fast daily marking, flexible schedules, weekly and monthly review, and one short daily Highlight. The working record stays on the current device, with portable exports and optional private restore points controlled by the person using it.
What I learned
Removing scores changes the design question. Instead of asking how to keep someone engaged, I had to ask what information would still feel useful weeks or months later, and how to make recording it calm enough to repeat.
